With Mike Colwell, Assistant Director, Correctional Industries, Washington State Department of Corrections
Today I met with leaders at the highest level of the Washington State Department of Corrections. I wrote a lengthy article that described my trip to Seattle, so I won’t repeat those details here. I will only say that speaking with those officials and the men who were serving sentences in a state prison brought me a high level of personal fulfillment. I am especially grateful to Mike Colwell, an Assistant Director of the DOC for having the courage to invite me to visit his agency. These trips confirm that I am living my purpose and I feel incredibly blessed for every opportunity. In the evening, Carole and I drove to Seattle to meet my sister Julie and her family in their beautiful home for the first time.
