Journal of today’s activities:
Last week I ran more than 81 miles. With last week’s running distance, I was more than 108 miles ahead of schedule. As the log below shows, I track each day’s distance. That way I always know where I stand in relation to the prospect of reaching my goal. In order to reach the 2,400-mile running goal that I set for 2014, I know precisely how far I’m supposed to be each day of the year. My running log showed that I was supposed to be at 348 miles yesterday, but I’ve already run more than 456 miles this year. So I’m way ahead of schedule. That’s good, because the busy week I have ahead of me means that I must sacrifice my running schedule in order to ensure that I’m well prepared for the presentations that I’m scheduled to make later this week. Today I spent several hours writing a guide that I would follow over a four-day training session with the San Jose Mayor’s Gang Prevention Task Force.
