Days since my release from 26 years in prison: 61
Time I woke: 4:00 am
Journal of activities:
This morning I woke early to send email messages to people I met at the Violence Prevention Conference in San Diego. At 5:00 am I walked down to the fitness room and ran on the treadmill until I logged 10 miles. Then I walked outside to the swimming pool and I swam for another 30 minutes. I really enjoy swimming and I’m glad that I could enjoy the water this morning. After the swim, Carole and I returned to the room to begin packing. We checked out of the hotel and then took a cab to the San Diego airport. We ate some overpriced food at an airport restaurant, then boarded our flight back to San Francisco. It felt wonderful to come home, and I felt great about the entire weekend. Justin and I made some great contacts that we expect will lead to future purchase orders or new relationships. During the evening I worked on grading papers for school.
