Days since my release from 26 years in prison: 16
Time I woke: 4:30
Journal of activities:
I worked all day on the various projects that are launching my career. First I wrote a lengthy document about the importance of sentence-mitgation strategies. I will feature that document on my website so that more people understand how and why to prepare once they’ve been charged with criminal misconduct. I wrote other articles for my website and I spent several hours preparing for the class I’m scheduled to teach tomorrow evening at San Francisco State University. Many students have been calling me “professor,” which really sounds surreal to me. I always correct them, asking that they call me Michael. Exciting times ahead, but now it’s 8:50 in the evening and time for me to put out the lights and sleep.
