I thoroughly enjoyed making my final presentation to members of the San Jose Mayor’s Gang Prevention Task Force today. In today’s presentation, I exposed the group to our pretest that we teach at the start of our program. Then I went through responses we received from those in the audience, teaching strategies for helping others think different. When I write “think different,” I intentionally use the phrasing of Steve Jobs. By that, I mean that our program encourages individuals to develop new ways of thinking critically so that they can overcome the challenges that life presents. Teach such a strategy represents the essence of our Straight-A Guide program. I look forward to teaching that same strategy to members of a sales force that I am going to build and train. With that responsibility in mind, Carole and I drove from San Jose to Orange County immediately after I concluded my eight-hour seminar.
