Yesterday I wrote about the first step of the methodical hiring process that I implemented. That advertisement has resulted in my receiving numerous applications. I respond to all candidates who reach out from that advertisement with the following message:
Hi (candidate name),
Through ZipRecruiter, I received an inquiry from you regarding an inside sales position we are recruiting for at Global Property Alliance. We are seeking experienced sales representatives to join our team in Newport Beach, California. The position has a base salary of $50,000 plus generous commission and bonus plans that lead top performers to earn north of $200,000 per year.
Through our national television commercials that run on CNBC, ESPN, and Fox News, we receive thousands of leads each week. Those leads visit our website at BuyBelize.com to inquire about purchasing real estate in award-winning land developments we represent. Currently our team averages about $7 million in monthly land sales, but we are expanding our team with expectations of tripling those sales. If you have an interest in learning more, please contact me. We have a three-step hiring process:
- Pre-application: Eight questions to provide insight into each candidate’s thought process.
- Application: Questions that provide us with more details about the candidate’s qualifications.
- In-person Interview: Based on the responses the candidate provides to the written applications, we prepare questions to guide us through an in-person interview.
If you have an interest in moving forward, please respond to the questions on the attached Pre-Application and return the document to me by e-mail.
In tomorrow’s entry, I’ll reveal parts of that Straight-A Guide pre-application. I modified that pre-application through the lessons we teach in the Michael G. Santos Foundation’s Straight-A Guide Program.
