This morning I flew to San Francisco. When the plane landed, I saw Air Force One outside my window. President Obama was in town, which caused some traffic delays in the city. I flew into town so that I could visit with my probation officer. He has been very supportive of my work, allowing me to travel. Since he’s been supervising me I’ve worked independently and I’ve worked for an employer without any interference from him. On the first of each month I provide him with a monthly statement that includes a detailed financial report. By providing him with that report on time each month, I show him that I’m living responsibly, conscientious of the rules by which I’m supposed to abide while I’m on supervised release. Other people who’ve served time on supervised release have not been as fortunate in feeling a sense of support while on supervised release. We all sow seeds for how the world will receive us in months and years to come. My probation officer indicated that I can expect to continue receiving his support.
