When I concluded my obligation to the Bureau of Prisons, I built a website to document my progress. This archived section of the website shows the deliberate steps I took to lead me to the next phase of my journey. It includes content from the year that I taught at San Francisco State University and other information that would help me execute a plan I set to improve outcomes of our nation’s criminal justice system by working with The Michael G. Santos Foundation to:
- Create and teach programs that help people from at-risk populations prepare for law-abiding, contributing lives.
- Build bridges for the formerly incarcerated to transition into the job market.
- Spread more awareness on why mass incarceration represents the greatest social injustice of our time, leading to intergenerational cycles of failure.
