Journal of today’s activities:
More than 40 city employees who work for the city of San Jose have registered for a workshop that I’ll lead next Wednesday. It’s the first full-day workshop that I will have led and I’ve invested many hours preparing for it. I’ll deliver a total of four workshops to this group by early May. Today I prepared binders featuring images that the participants can use to follow along as I teach. It’s my hope that those images will help participants retain the message that I’m striving to deliver.
This workshop relates to the Straight-A Guide. At its core I’ll teach about leadership and developing a principled way of life. I’m convinced that any individual can reach a higher potential of fulfillment, meaning, and contribution. First they must invest the time on personal development. The more authenticity an individual can show, the more trust the individual can develop with the people he or she is trying to lead. I’m looking forward to sharing my message with the group on Wednesday.
After I finished putting the binders together, I resumed work on a vision statement that I’m creating to guide those who work with our foundation. I’ll publish the document soon.
