Founder of Conbody.com Tells his Story
Coss Marte grew up in a toxic neighborhood, infested with gangs, drugs, and crime. By the time he was 13 he was selling drugs. He was in and out of prison. By the time he turned 23, he was sent to various prisons in New York state to serve a seven year sentence. Throughout most of his journey in prison, Coss said that he wanted to learn how he could become a better criminal.
Toward the end, however, he changed. Coss realized that he could empower himself by beginning to live for something bigger than himself. He began focusing on fitness, shredding excess weight and reclaiming his health. He began teaching others how to do the same. Then, upon his release, he found guidance from Defy Ventures, an organization that helps the formerly incarcerated become entrepreneurs. With training from Defy Ventures, Coss succeeded in finding investors. They helped him to open ConBody.com, a gym that teaches others how to use “prison-type” workouts to transform their lives. In only two years, he has built a company that investors value at $5 million.
That’s why Coss is a mastermind! He inspires the formerly incarcerated to live for something bigger than past circumstances. Pursue lives of meaning, relevance, and significance!
