When I came home from work last night, my wife gave me some great news. Carole is a nurse. Since we moved from Northern California to Southern California, she has been searching for the right employment opportunity. She received a few job offers in small hospitals, but Carole prefers to work in large, best-in-class hospitals that place an emphasis on best-practices of healthcare. Next May, Carole will graduate with her master’s degree in nursing, and she is eager to move into a leadership position. Yesterday she told me about a great interview she had with a large hospital and the job offer that followed. Then, two other large hospitals reached out to Carole with requests that she return for more rounds of interviews. The good news is that she received one job offer already at a large hospital, and it looks as if two other job offers may be forthcoming. I’m very happy that she’ll be able to working in the type of hospital that will allow her to advance her career. I’m incredibly proud of her.
